This semester officially comes to an end, and with it, Semester 2 at The National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru.
The results came in: 9.65 SGPA with all 20 credits earned. On paper, that looks like the headline — but honestly, for me, it isn’t.
What really defined this semester wasn’t the numbers. It was the projects, the learning, and the momentum that came with building consistently.

🚀 Beyond the Marks
The numbers don’t tell the full story. What really mattered this semester was:
- Building and launching Talk2Job, my first voice-based AI interview preparation platform.
- Creating my personal website: iamshreyas.live, a space that truly reflects who I am.
- Diving into Next.js, Firebase, Tailwind, Vercel, VAPI, and Google Gemini, and learning to connect them meaningfully.
- Participating in the Generative AI Exchange Program, which expanded how I think about AI’s real-world impact.
- Attempting the All India Naukri Campus Aptitude Test (CAT), to benchmark myself nationally.
🌱 Reflections
Grades feel good, but they’re just numbers. What I’ll carry forward are the skills I built, the projects I shipped, and the mindset to keep learning by building.
Semester 2 reinforced something important: marks can open doors, but skills keep them open. Real compounding comes from writing, shipping, iterating, and collaborating — not just scoring well.
Here’s to Semester 3, and everything it brings next.
